This project upgraded a 1.1 mile section of US 421 (King Street) to a modern urban arterial street in Boone, NC. Blythe Development was responsible for the entire project which included several challenging obstacles including removal of 58 buildings and structures, over 13,000 SF of retaining walls, installation of utilities, curb, sidewalk and asphalt paving while maintaining traffic flow through the project.
